Last updated: May 9, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Stanovnik collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you visit the website, create an account, publish listings, manage professional profiles, contact users, buy paid services, or communicate with support.
We process personal data in line with applicable personal data protection rules in the Republic of North Macedonia and, where relevant, comparable privacy principles such as transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, security, and user rights.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use Stanovnik, we may collect account data, contact data, authentication data, profile data, listing data, project data, professional verification data, support messages, payment metadata, device data, log data, approximate location data, preferences, and consent records.
- Account data can include name, email, phone number, role, profile photo, company or agency information, language preference, and account status.
- Listing and profile data can include property address or area, coordinates, price, size, images, videos, floor plans, descriptions, amenities, public contact choices, social links, and professional credentials.
- Technical data can include IP address, browser, device, operating system, pages viewed, timestamps, referral source, cookies, analytics events, security logs, and checkout or webhook metadata.
3. How we use data
We use data to operate the platform, authenticate users, publish and manage listings, display professional profiles, process applications and invitations, route contact requests, provide dashboards, prevent abuse, improve performance, respond to support requests, send service messages, comply with legal obligations, and manage paid services.
- Service messages include account, security, listing, application, invitation, payment, subscription, and support notices.
- Marketing messages are sent only where we have a valid basis such as consent, and you can opt out from marketing without losing access to essential service messages.
- We may use aggregated or non-identifying data to improve search, analytics, performance, product decisions, and marketplace quality.
4. Public listing and profile data
Information you choose to publish in listings, projects, agency profiles, agent profiles, developer profiles, artisan profiles, or public pages may be visible to visitors, search engines, social previews, and other users. Do not publish information you do not want to be public.
Your email address is not intended to be displayed publicly unless you place it inside public content yourself. Phone numbers and social/contact links may be public when you choose to show them.
5. Payments and Paddle
Paid subscriptions, listing publish fees, and boosts are processed by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record. Paddle may collect billing details, payment method information, tax details, fraud signals, invoice data, and transaction records under its own privacy terms.
Stanovnik receives payment metadata needed to activate subscriptions, publish permissions, boosts, account status, receipts, support, fraud prevention, and accounting. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes on our servers.
6. Third-party providers
We use trusted providers to run Stanovnik, including Firebase/Google Cloud for authentication, database, storage, hosting-related services, Google Sign-In, Google Maps and Places features, Paddle for payments, and communication or analytics tools where enabled.
When you click external links such as social media profiles, Google Maps directions, or third-party communication tools, those services may process your data under their own policies.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Stanovnik may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login sessions, security, language preferences, basic functionality, analytics, performance, and marketing where applicable. Some cookies are necessary for the platform to work.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may limit account login, checkout, dashboard, language, or listing-management functions.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers, payment processors, hosting providers, support tools, professional account team members you authorize, legal advisers, authorities where required by law, and other users when you intentionally publish or send information through the platform.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including authenticated access, HTTPS transport, provider-level security controls, role-based data separation where implemented, and operational review of suspicious behavior.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password, keeping your account credentials private, and telling us quickly if you suspect unauthorized access.
10. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, listing publication, support, billing, fraud prevention, tax, audit, legal compliance, dispute handling, and platform safety.
Some records may remain after account deletion if retention is required or justified by law, accounting, fraud prevention, security logs, dispute resolution, or legitimate platform protection.
11. Your rights
Subject to legal limits, you may request information about your personal data, access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, and a copy of data you provided where technically feasible.
To exercise your rights, contact support@stanovnik.mk from your account email and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
12. Children
Stanovnik is intended for adults. Users must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts or publish listings.
13. Authorities and legal requests
We may preserve or disclose information when required by law, court order, competent authority, fraud investigation, safety concern, legal claim, or to protect users, third parties, Stanovnik, or the public.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our platform, providers, legal obligations, security practices, or business model. The latest version will be published on this page.
